It was back in 2008 that EasyJet started up its cheap flights to Greece.  There are some very competitive fares on offer to Crete, Corfu, Rhodes and Athens (among many others) at the moment.  Greece is currently in a spot of well documented financial trouble, but then aren’t we all?  However, one thing Greece is rich in is heritage and sunshine – that will never change.  Earlier this month the Greeks decided to sell their sunshine! 

Greece is a wonderful place to fit solar panels for your home, that’s for sure.  If you have invested in Greek property in the past, or are considering it for the future, you won’t be short of self-generated fuels.  However the recently revealed Greek “Helios Project” may well prove an answer to part of the country’s incredible euro debt mountain.  Helios was an ancient sun god and it’s in his name that the country will be establishing an amazing number of solar panels across Greece – enough to create ten gigawatts of solar energy!  [Read more...]
